ISEG will host the 48th International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR) Conference from 16 to 18 September 2026. The Call for Abstracts is now open!

ISEG will host the 48th International Association for Time Use Research (IATUR) Conference from 16 to 18 September 2026.

The conference will bring together researchers from diverse fields, including economics, sociology, public health, geography, psychology, and policy studies, to discuss how individuals and societies organize, experience, and value time.

The Call for Abstracts is now open. Submissions of empirical studies, theoretical contributions, methodological innovations, and policy-oriented research are welcome. Participation is open to researchers, PhD students, professionals, and policymakers.

The topics cover different approaches to time use in social life, including technology, digitalization, and well-being; environment, energy, and transport; lifestyles and everyday rhythms, among others.

The conference will also include special sessions within the Horizon Europe project  GEPINC

- Gender Equality Plans for Inclusivity dedicated to transdisciplinary approaches to gender equality in European research and innovation organizations, as well as a roundtable on “Reimagining Time Use in the University of the Future”.
